“Old’sCOOL” was formed in 2024 to celebrate the work of Graham Adams. A musician who has been playing and writing music for over 50 years.
In that time Graham has written and performed some terrific songs and played with numerous musicians and bands over that time.
Although he has recorded in the studio on many occasions, with a multitude of bands, Graham has never had a proper release of his “songs”.
This led to the creation of the band “Old’sCOOL” and the subsequent release of the album “Deja Vu“.
“Old’sCOOL” is a group of musicians and admirers regarding the musical abilities of Graham Adams. They have all played with Graham over the years.
Indeed, Drummer John McGowan, first met and performed with Graham 40 years ago and highlights the affection he has for Graham and the songs he has written:
“Graham has a natural talent for composing a catchy song and he deserves to have a wider audience. I have a number of favourites, but it would be fair to say that I have yet to find a song I don’t actually like.
Over the years, there have certainly been a number of Graham’s songs that have been ‘ear worms’ ; my personal favourite “All the Time” is just a real classic which deserves to be played loud.
It is an honour to have played on this album release and I really hope it is a success. If not, then it is a lasting memory of the talent that is Graham Adams.”

Similar to John McGowan, Willie Glass also met and played with Graham starting almost 40 years ago. More recently he’s been back playing with Graham, occasionally performing cover songs, but his real enjoyment comes from playing Graham’s songs live.
“I first met Graham in the early 80’s, I remember us going to London for a gig and as we switched on the power for a sound check all the lights in the street went out, we thought it was us, but it was the electricity board working down the road.
That night we played a storming set of Graham’s songs, my favourite of which is “lonely man” a really catchy melodic intro and a tune you’ll be singing all day. I’m looking forward to recording many more songs.“

Kenny McFarlane first met Graham in 2017 and has enjoyed being the bass player in a number of Graham’s bands. Since then, the bands have primarily played cover songs, but they’ve also performed original songs written by Graham during live shows. The original songs are always well-received at their gigs.
“When I first met Graham we got on immediately and formed our first band. He brought along some of his self-penned songs to let me hear, and straight away I thought, hey these are really good. I always felt that it would be nice to get them recorded properly, so we got together with Willie & John and here’s the result. Enjoy.“

“To have all the songs recorded and now released is something special for me and hopefully the start of recording and releasing more. Kenny, John and Willie have really brought out the best in the songs and I am really excited abut the next steps.
To have an album/ CD and online recordings released is impressive and I really hope that listening to the songs brings a joy to many. The great thing about life is that you never know what is round the corner and I certainly didn’t expect this is 2024. Thanks to everyone for supporting this. I am truly honoured“.
